I was very anxious to see this movie. Mostly because Milla Jovovich (who’s one of my girl crushes) and Timothy Olyphant (I adore him) were part of the cast. My boyfriend was also interested in this movie so we went to see it yesterday.

A Perfect Getaway

The plot of the movie:

Cliff and Cydney (Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich) are an adventurous young couple celebrating their honeymoon by backpacking to one of the most beautiful, and remote, beaches in Hawaii. Hiking the wild, secluded trails, they believe they’ve found paradise. But when the pair comes across a group of frightened hikers discussing the horrifying murder of another newlywed couple on the islands, they begin to question whether they should turn back.

Unsure whether to stay or flee, Cliff and Cydney join up with another couple, and things begin to go terrifyingly wrong. Far from civilization or rescue, everyone begins to look like a threat and nobody knows whom to trust. Paradise becomes hell on earth as a brutal battle for survival begins.

It was a pretty decent movie, it was full of suspense and doubt. Sometimes it was confusing to figure out who were the killers but I’d say halfway through the movie you could figure it out. The movie could have been a lot better, but I don’t regret seeing it. I enjoyed it, and I liked that it wasn’t very long. The time frame was pretty good.
