Yoga has multiple health benefits. Apart from improving the flexibility, balance and stability of the body, it also helps to strengthen the muscles and protect the body against diseases. When incorporated into the daily fitness routine, yoga also helps improve heart health. Anshuka Parwani, yoga trainer to several Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and others, continues to share important fitness and yoga information on her Instagram profile. From talking about yoga asanas, alleviating back pain issues, demonstrating asanas and talking about its benefits and steps to follow, Anshuka’s Instagram profile is full of photos and videos of herself in yoga positions.

Anshuka a day ago chose to demonstrate Kukkutasana for his fans on Instagram. Anshuka shared a photo of herself performing the asana and wrote about it in detail. Kukkutasana, also known as the Rooster Pose, is an arm balancing asana where the entire weight of the body is positioned on the arms. A rather complicated and difficult asana, Kukkutasana helps strengthen muscle groups throughout the body using the arms, trunk, and pelvic muscles. It also helps tone the abdominal muscles and stimulate the digestive system. Take a look at Anshuka Parwani performing Kukkutasana with perfection:

Anshuka further added that to perform this asana, the flexibility, stability, concentration and core strength of the body will come together to achieve it perfectly. “Although this is a difficult asana to perform, flexibility, stability, focus and core strength are the main elements that will help you perfect this yoga asana,” Anshuka added. However, she also added that a few steps must be followed before performing flexibility, stability, focus and core strength. For beginners, Anshuka suggested, “Practice your planks, strengthen your wrists and core, work on hip and ankle mobility. These steps can be followed to prepare for Kukkutasana in order to perform it perfectly.
