Hordes of critics have pushed back against Boris Johnson, after he launched a Downing Street TikTok account yesterday.
In his first video on the video app, the Prime Minister called on Britons to “tune in to No 10 TikTok”.
More than 26,000 comments flooded the video, which was posted around midday on Tuesday, with many asking the Prime Minister for a hair tutorial video.
Another said: ‘what made you think this would ever be a good idea’, with others calling on the leader to resign.

“Can you do a packing video for when you move?” asked one commenter.
While others cite the cost of living crisis.
“Boris, could you help me with my gas and electric bill,” said one user. “The country is going into recession so the government made a tiktok to help us,” said another.
“Comments are going to be disabled so soon,” one wrote.
“Theresa would have danced. 0.001/10 Boris,” replied another.
Former Love Island contestant Hugo Hammond posted “That must be a joke” with a laughing emoji.
Mr Johnson launched the page with the promise of ‘a behind-the-scenes look at what we do’.

The Prime Minister’s video appeared as the first clip on the new 10downingstreet account on Tuesday, racking up more than half a million views and tens of thousands of followers within hours.
“Hi folks, this is Boris Johnson launching the Number 10 TikTok site,” he said.
“You won’t necessarily see me dancing on this site, but you’ll get all kinds of stuff about what we’re doing to meet our priorities, to achieve our agenda for you to unify and level our country.
“You’ll get all kinds of messages and content that you might not get if you’re looking at Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook – Twitter, LinkedIn and all the rest.”
“This is meant to be a place where we can post messages and behind-the-scenes information about what we’re doing – so tune in to number 10 TikTok.”
The Prime Minister has accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, with millions of followers on these platforms.
