How many “Heartstopper” graphic novel volumes are there?

“Heartstopper” features Kit Connor and Joe Locke | netflix

by Alice Oseman Heart stroke will consist of five volumes in total, but only four of them are published so far. The original book came out in 2018, featuring Charlie Spring and Nick Nelson for the first time.

Since then, Oseman has released three more graphic novels, each building on the LGBTQ romance established in the first. The author also publishes a spin-off titled The Heartstopper Directorywhich debuts on October 13, 2022.

And while there are some minor differences between the graphic novels and the Netflix adaptation, the latter sticks pretty closely to the source material. Playing the first four episodes will take fans through the early days of Charlie and Nick’s relationship. They will also give you insight into where things are headed. And in 2023, we will have an idea of the end of their story.

Alice Oseman will end the graphic novel series with a fifth volume

Those looking to delve into the graphic novels that inspired Netflix Heart stroke can power most volumes right now. They’re fast and have lots of fluff, making them easy to go through in one sitting. However, Charlie and Nick’s story isn’t over yet.

Alice Oseman will complete the Heart stroke series with a fifth volume, which is expected to arrive in February 2023. Hopefully, fans will also get another season of the TV show in a year or two. After all, the Netflix series has a lot more material to work with.

Now that we have established how many volumes of Alice Oseman Heart stroke there are, let’s explore how far in graphic novels the Netflix series has taken us. The first season chronicled the budding feelings between Charlie and Nick, ending with the latter coming out as bisexual to his mother.

With that in mind, the Netflix show has already covered the first two volumes of Oseman’s graphic novels. The second episode ends with the same scene between Nick and his mother.

If the show is renewed for another season, it will likely tackle volumes three and four. This means that viewers will travel to France with Charlie and Nick. They will also see them struggle to make their relationship public.

Hopefully, we can see these events come to life on the small screen. Ideally, Netflix will adapt all of the graphic novels, including the upcoming fifth. Only time will tell if this actually happens.

Waiting, Heart stroke Season 1 is currently streaming on Netflix.
