BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty, 46, is known to viewers for her sleek pixie cut, but the star has now admitted that she doesn’t always receive positive feedback on her hairstyle. The reporter hit back at opinions on her short locks after one of her Twitter followers shared his own concerns about going for the chop at the salon.
Naga interacted with the fan after sharing an article from Stylist on how a shorter haircut can cause “complicated emotions” for women.
The post’s tweet read: “Why just getting a haircut means so much more than we think #shorthair #psychology #beauty.”
After retweeting the piece in front of his 259,000 followers, Naga wrote alongside him, “Do it your way x,” alongside a haircut emoji.
Spotting Naga’s post, the Twitter user wrote in response, âI’d love a pixi cut!

However, Naga was quick to let her fan know that she had received similar comments about her hairstyle, but chose to ignore them.
The star has revealed that she is “often” compared to Pob, a short-haired character on the Channel 4 children’s TV show – Pob’s Program.
The star, who hosted the show with Charlie Stayt, showcased a summery look in the outfit, which featured four white pockets and a matching collar.
Many fans took to social media to cheer on Naga’s 60s-inspired shift dress.
