These 2023 Corvette Z06 accessories may not be available
Order books for the 2023 Corvette Z06 will open on July 28, but if you’re itching to be on the front line, you might have to compromise. Despite the company’s best efforts to stock some parts and try to get ahead of the curve earlier this year, supply chain bottlenecks unfortunately remain a mainstay of the automotive industry. And as seen with the launch of the Corvette Stingray before it, the bottleneck in this case appears to be carbon fiber sourcing.
By Corvette Blogger and their direct communication with Corvette Product Manager, Harlan Charles, the accessories listed below will be offered as “late availability”. The silver lining here is that they will be available, but not when they open the books.
One of many parts featured on the Corvette Stingray we saw at SEMA last year.
Part Number: #84983921
Visible carbon fiber rear deck spoiler
Reminiscent of the E-Ray spoiler spotted around the Nurburgring. Present only on the Z06 viewer at the moment.
Visible carbon fiber grille inserts
This is another item we were teased with at SEMA last year. The same carbon fiber inserts for the Stingray were $1,995. They will also be available in Carbon Flash (not really carbon fiber) for an alleged discounted price.
Carbon fiber engine cover
This part as well as the engine light kit will both be late to the party of available accessories.
Accessory visible carbon fiber mirrors
According to Corvette Blogger, GM went so far as to pull parts from these dealers for use in production. This was a $1,195 add-on to the SEMA Stingray we saw last year.
While the Z06 and carbon fiber seem to go together, the delays will have you waiting in line for your turn. The aftermarket, on the other hand, may have an opportunity to supply what anxious C8 Z06 owners want.
